Lead Routing and Lifecycle Architecture

Creating good experiences for first-time users creates customers who stay with you forever. Just as important as optimizing the top of the funnel, it’s equally important to optimize the later stages of the lifecycle to deliver an experience for the end user that’s so good they say yes when they talk to sales.

Lead routing: inbound leads pass through a rules matrix and routing criteria to Sales Rep A, B, and C

Routing Logic Design

I collaborate closely with the sales ops and business systems teams to develop and manage intricate lead routing rules, assignment logic, round robins, and territory-based distribution. Each team is unique, sales cycles differ, and customer profiles evolve at various paces. That’s why it’s so important to understand how to work effectively across these teams and stay involved in implementing optimized routing strategies.

Lifecycle Management

Could we consider managing the lifecycle stages in three steps instead of six? I wonder how these adjustments might affect our reporting. Also, can we pinpoint where prospects are in their buying journey? These are the kinds of questions I love asking to help shape clearer, simpler customer journeys. Let’s review your lead-scoring models, lifecycle-stage progress, and handoff logic.

Qualification criteria are checked, a check mark appears, and a Lead Qualified notification alert pops out with a ringing bell

Service Level Agreements

I’ve worked closely with Sales Development Reps (SDRs) to improve lead qualification and ensure routing notifications and response Service Level Agreements (SLAs) run smoothly. We’ve improved processes across all of our lead-generation channels, including product trials, virtual events, conferences, and partner programs.

A new user starts a 14-day software trial, the trial days count down, and the user converts into a paying subscriber

Conversion Rate Optimization

Working closely with SaaS organizations, I prioritized taking responsibility for the customer journey, covering product trials, the out-of-the-box experience, demo requests, and overall conversion rate improvement. This approach played a key role in driving sales success. This interactive process required collaboration with sales, product teams, and prospects to better understand and improve product experiences.
